Los Angeles Hadracha

This past Shabbat, Bnei Akiva of Los Angeles had our annual Hanhaga Shabbaton. Friday morning we all headed up to the Dovid Oved Retreat Center, home of Moshava Alevy! We started with funny ice breakers, and a yummy, Rosh Hashanah themed cake wars! After the cake wars, we discussed responsibility and planning peulot. We all got ready for Shabbat and took pre-Shabbat pics followed by Mifkad. We then headed inside for a meaningful Kabbalat Shabbat overlooking the sunset in the mountains. We had a delicious dinner followed by a Tisch with outstanding ruach. Shabbat morning we woke up early and had a wonderful davening with Krispy Kreme for kiddush! We then split up into groups and had a round-robin called “What is Bnei Akiva?”. This was super educational and gave everyone a true understanding of what we stand for. After, we had lunch and Menucha and a meeting for Roshim. We had another round robin that demonstrated the practical aspects of being a Bnei Akiva leader. We wrapped up the Shabbaton with Seudah Shlishit and a meaningful pre-Rosh Hashanah slow shira. This Shabbaton was not only informative but also super fun and everyone had an awesome time!
